New classical music arrangements for saxophone ensemble
It seems as if summer has only just finished, and yet Christmas is fast approaching - this year has gone very quickly! But even though the year is winding up, that does not mean we are. I'm pleased to announce that I have three new pieces of classical music arranged for saxophone ensemble available to purchase from Saxtet Publications - click through for more details!
If you are looking to refresh your saxophone ensemble repertoire then look no further! These pieces are all well-known and rewarding to play, so both players and audience members will enjoy them.
- In the Hall of the Mountain King - Saxophone ensemble (SSAATTBB): A great favourite of mine, this piece is evocative and, while it starts relatively simple. there is enough complexity in this piece that it is accessible and challenging at the same time.
- Morning Mood - Saxophone ensemble (SSAATTBB): This is a lovely, serene piece of music which is perfect for opening a concert.
- Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from 'The Planets' - Saxophone choir (SnoSSAAATTTBBBs): The Planets suite is one of my favourites and Jupiter is arguably the most well-known of all the movements. This arrangement is challenging but will showcase the saxophone family's range and tone to its full extent. And if you don't have a sopranino or bass saxophone, there is also an ensemble version available.
Happy playing!
